It’s that spooky time of year again, and if you’re reading this after dark, you can expect a knock on the door from ghoulies, ghosties and long-leggedy beasties (and hopefully a few cute toddlers dressed as pumpkins).

So naturally we got to asking ourselves what scares us most about money? And how can we work towards exorcising those horrible finance ghosts?

How mysterious “money scripts” create our financial belief system - and stop us getting what we want

1. Working on projects because you want to and not because you have to.

2. Living a comfortable life which to me is being able to afford the necessities to survive (an apartment and all the bills that come along with it; food; minimum debt payments, etc.) and some extra to live without struggling every month.

Money buys freedom. Freedom to make decisions about how to spend your time. For instance, you can choose your work (or not!), or under your own terms (part-time, out of your house, following your passion) and to make trade-offs in your time (e.g., spend time cleaning or pay someone else to help with that).
